1. Agreement

By creating an account and using ProfitLens ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

2. What ProfitLens provides

ProfitLens is a business intelligence and analysis platform. It analyses your business data and generates insights, recommendations and financial projections to help you understand your business performance.

ProfitLens is not:

  • A licensed financial advisor or accountant
  • A tax advisor
  • A legal advisor
  • A substitute for professional business, financial or legal advice

All insights, recommendations and projections are based on data you provide and are for informational purposes only. You should verify any significant business decisions with a qualified professional.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be 18 years or older to use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm you have authority to act on behalf of the business you register.

4. Subscriptions and payment

ProfitLens offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly in Australian dollars (AUD) via Stripe.

  • The Pro plan includes a 14-day free trial. No charge until the trial ends.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled.
  • You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial months.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

5. Your data

You retain ownership of all business data you import into ProfitLens. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely to provide the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any data you provide, including customer and contact information.

You can export or delete your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload false, misleading or fraudulent data
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, hack or disrupt the Service
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the Service to build a competing product

7. Accuracy of information

ProfitLens analyses the data you provide. The accuracy of insights and recommendations depends entirely on the accuracy and completeness of your data. We do not guarantee that:

  • Insights or projections will be accurate or complete
  • The Service will identify all profit leaks or opportunities
  • Recommendations will result in improved business outcomes

What-If Simulator results are projections based on historical averages — not guarantees of future performance.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, ProfitLens is not liable for:

  • Any loss of profit, revenue or data arising from use of the Service
  • Business decisions made based on ProfitLens insights or recommendations
  • Interruptions or errors in the Service
  • Any indirect, consequential or special damages

Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

9. Service availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts the Service. We will endeavour to notify users of planned downtime in advance.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

On termination, your data is retained for 30 days then permanently deleted, unless you request earlier deletion.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will give you at least 14 days notice of material changes by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
